Thanks! The bodywork is the basis for a good resto and is the hardest to redo, so first time right! I love mk1 and 2's, but wanted a bit different to restore. You don't see too many early mk3's around restored to a high level. Maybe it will appeal to more people now the prices of mini's from the 60's are increasing...

Yeh I understand where your coming from with the mk3 idea, its defo something that not many people like to do as the mk1's and mk2's are what people seem to like but cant beat this is a awesome build, and as above i like the silver rims to

It has been a while, but not without progress!!!



NOS Lucas rearlights and badges + rechromed boothandel + fuelcap is temporary in black





Still struggeling with the wiring, although it is a new autosparks loom... But this more due to being new to this area...

and the headlining absolutely needs some more heat and tension, but will allow it to settle a bit first.

Thanks and I believe I can just pass MOT, you are allowed 2.5 cm visible tread each side and this is just that

i also have a set of steel wheels just in case for that day...

The front looks better with the smaller indicators. Cars bound for CA had those larger ones installed also....yuck

I just noticed your thumb screws for the grill are fairly low....is there a reason for this ( maybe to hide behind over riders?)

I have placed them a bit lower to get them out of sight a bit. Still needs some adjustment to get it straight on the car though.

Unfortunately for the early GB wheels the nuts were made from magnesium and are no longer available, therefore we will make custom made wheel nuts



Rear also has the NOS all red rear lensens fitted



Therefore we decided to make some steel banded wheels, with period tyres (kept in dark storage) for show in the mean time.
