He also told me that this particular car would have been built to the stage it was at in the pic at castle bromwich as it is already painted and has a rear subframe fitted."
Shells were not assembled at Castle Bromwich, they were assembled at Longbridge. CB used to make boot floor asssemblies. that being the boot floor and rear seat with the rear parcel shelf. The sections were then taken to Longbridge by lorry for the shell to be built.
