Shells were not assembled at Castle Bromwich, they were assembled at Longbridge. CB used to make boot floor asssemblies. that being the boot floor and rear seat with the rear parcel shelf. The sections were then taken to Longbridge by lorry for the shell to be built.

Front grill of the 1275GT looks OK. I'll have that then. :twisted:

Interesting thread, like the period Pepsi can.

Useless info', my grandad used to work at Castle Bromwich, long before the Mini, building another iconic machine. ;)
