Gear Change knuckle

Evening all, just looking up the female gear change knuckle and looking at the machining, am I missing some kind of detent ? :oops:

Typed it out three times but still sounds weird. :roll:

nothing goes in it before the male knuckle, except grease

You can use HP sauce but it's not very romantic.
I've got a 69 Mini with a 1046, Cooper Head and a four on the floor.

There's always assembly lube... At least it doesn't smell 'earthy'. :lol:
