A-panels... Heritage or M-machine??
I need to change some A-panels on a Mk1;
What to buy? Heritage or M-machine.
Which is the better fit?
Also; would the heritage frontpanel - 14A8308 - be suitable for a Mk1 or does it got alot of the modern bits'n holes?

Re: A-panels... Heritage or M-machine??
the 14a8308 is ok, the worse thing is the 'wrinkle' at the front where heritage put the insert in the press to convert the mpi pressing to the early one.
it takes work to dolly it all out and fill it, so its a cost to consider.
the mini machine ones, or the cheapy magnum ones are as good, the pressing is certainly 'cleaner'

100% M-Machine , buy the Outer A-Panel with part of the pillar and door step in one . Not cheap but very good .

I bought a Heritage front panel for the Speedwell car & my tin man sent it back & swapped it for a cheapo one because the cheapo one fitted better & needed less work to make it right.
As far as A panels are concerned, I don't see much difference, they both need a lot of fitting to work properly.

Very True about the A-panels . They all need work , just found m-machine easier to work with like the Front panels
Its a joke really you would expect Heritage to be a lot better than they are

11.14.00.87 Door Pillar & Apex Panel, LH, Mk1-2, Van & Pick-Up 76.50 £91.80 ?
Any one know if they got the complete RH innerwing that incorporated the inner A-panel with hinge-brackets etc?
And if they do... is it a good fit?
Many thanks,
Cheers,

Re: A-panels... Heritage or M-machine??
I don't think they do . I had a Heritage Inner wing and it was total crap i did more cutting and welding just to get it to fit and it was never right .
Do you need a full inner wing or just part ? Try repairing your original ??

Re: A-panels... Heritage or M-machine??
Seems like M-machine might be "out" of their inner A-panels...
So question now if what to go for;
Heritage or any other option... Magnum?, "minispares nongenuine" ? whatever.. ?
Anyone care to weigh in?

As I said before;
As far as A panels are concerned, I don't see much difference, they both need a lot of fitting to work properly.
