Hi Guys,
I have just taken delivery of some NOS BMC service automatic Seatbelts, the number on the box says sc345p
So basically I need to know how to best mount the seatbelt 'reel' to the passenger bin. If anyone has done this please could you show me/ explain how you have done it to get best results?
Thanks in advance
Lewis

I mounted the inertia reels in the pockets either side of the back seat - ( check the orientation the reels need to be at ).
I bought the webbing through the ashtray hole ( with a bespoke plastic guide ), up to the B post top mount, and then down to the usual sill mount.

A tip from personal experience. Do not fix belt mounting direct to passenger bin without adding a suitable shaped strengthening plate. It is not strong enough, if needed in an accident !

Use the same point on the sill as the end. I believe there is enough space between the seat and the sill. You don't have to do any welding.

Depends which seat belts you use. Some intertia reels are bigger than others.LarryLebel wrote:Use the same point on the sill as the end. I believe there is enough space between the seat and the sill. You don't have to do any welding.

Re: How to Mount my seatbelts to the passenger bins
Hi guys,
The type I have bought have the automatic reel that is marked up to be mounted vertically. I guess that means I need to bolt it to the floor inside the door bin by using a spreader plate and some anchor/welded nuts.
I think then I will have to remove a piece of the ashtray bracket and bin liner and slide the seat belt up through that and onto the top of the pillar before going back down to the floor.
I think it could end up a fairly big job!
