I "borrowed" some lead off my neighbours roof, then trimmed a piece of the lead to the weight of the original wheel weight. (give or take a gram).

Then stuck them on the wheel where the original weights were using impact adhesive.

The advantage of using lead is that it can be further flattened to gain even more clearance being a softer material than the currently available wheel weights.
So far, so good. I have a couple of mm extra clearance from the caliper and they haven't fallen off, yet.
