Speedwell temperature gauge connecting

Just bought this Speedwell temperature gauge,
what is the best way to connect it on my engine ?

I found this thermostat house to connect my thermostat indicator in. :D
It's from an Austin Allegro and will work well.

That thread looks very large! also, beware that the capillary tube will need supporting where it goes into the head, if you don't it will break.

On left the picture the one I bought from Mark, using that one seemed not to work together with the part I already had. Did ask my nabur if he could think of something to make it fit.
He made a complete new one for me so the one from Mark is left on the shelf. This is what I call serious oldskool "WORKS" craftsman ship.

When fitting Amot control equipment into thermocouple pockets (1960's :shock: ) on cooling water rails, the fact that the sensing bulb is not in direct contact with the cooling medium heatsink compound was always advised.
Also Kees make sure that bleed all air out you don't want your sensor sitting in a big air bobble.
