Sounds like this one Jim can make from classic&vintage dynamos
I guess this one takes some kind of pump/exhauster at the rear.
It has a rear tacho drive on it..needs blanking off like on the original one.

It's even got the massive weld in the correct place, just needs the tacho drive blanking and painting black.

See the AEG305 Head thread. Another picture of the dynamo with the big weld on it and the end plate as per works. On a Sebring Sprite.
Have you determined the diameter of these dynamo with the large weld?
Again, it looks wider in the Sprite photo.

Again, it looks wider in the Sprite photo.
They are 4" same as a standard C40 the ones Jim builds use a C39 case which is also 4" . It must be an illusion on some of the old images, unless they are using the C45 case :?
