Cooper S Camshaft ID
I just removed my camshaft from my 1966 Austin Cooper S.
It is a pin drive camshaft which I am told is original for the “S”.
I do not see any markings.
I understand somewhere there are pictures or ways to identify the cam visually.
Any help would be appreciated.

Here's a snip of the parts manual showing the changeover point to the 510 camshaft.

Re: Cooper S Camshaft ID
If it’s a 66 car it should have (if original) an Aeg510, which has 1/2 inch lobes and 1 ring on it I seem to recall.

Re: Cooper S Camshaft ID
I’m pretty sure the 148 doesn’t have any identifying marks whereas, as previously said, the 510 has one ring.

Re: Cooper S Camshaft ID
Thanks all.
Looks like I have the original camshaft - AEG510.
My engine (9FSAY42201) is beyond the changeover point of 9FSAY40006.
My camshaft has 1/2” lobes, pin drive, 1 ring.
I sent my camshaft to Delta Cams (Tacoma, Washington, USA) and it was returned with a red band.
What does this designate?
