Does anyone still sell the floor start style exhaust as pictured below? The later exhaust passes very close to the switch terminals!
Scroll down:

These two pictures show the difference between a standard single box system on the left and a system for a floor start Mk1.

The exhaust in question is for my brothers early Traveller, see below:
http://www.minitravellerandcountrymanre ... &Itemid=17
He has fitted exhaust but it is very close to starter button terminals.........will see if he can heat and bend pipe as you suggested if he thinks it is a problem. He also has a 1960 Austin 7 with same issue but never realised/remembered there was a subtle difference in early exhaust shape.
I think I may have had crimped boxes from BL in later years but not 100% sure now.

We have recently fitted a NOS Unipart crimped, single box, system to our Mk2 998.
I cut down a floor start van exhaust for my 1960 850 and have another NOS one as a spare, should I ever need it.
