Lucas 608 mirror stem
Does anyone make the correct mini 2 hole fixing bracket for the 608 dipping mirror?

Re: Lucas 608 mirror stem
I’ve fitted a couple of these to Minis and made my own 3 holed brackets out of angle iron, using the standard plastic fitting as a pattern, and welded it to the stem then painted with bright silver paint on the road car and Matt black for the Works replica.

Good idea, but my mirror is nos so don't really want to weld to it.Stopped-again wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2020 9:53 pm I’ve fitted a couple of these to Minis and made my own 3 holed brackets out of angle iron, using the standard plastic fitting as a pattern, and welded it to the stem then painted with bright silver paint on the road car and Matt black for the Works replica.
I've had these mirrors before, which seemed to have reproduction adjustable stems?

Re: Lucas 608 mirror stem
Most certain the ebay stems suposed to be for a Mini that fit into the Lucas 608 Mirror case did not work out for me.. all goes well until i try to fit the modified Mirror Stem onto the Cant Rail when the ebay mounting stem is set at the wrong angle & fouls the Windscreen.
So me also looking for the Lucas 608 Mirror Stem solution

Re: Lucas 608 mirror stem
I did it that way and still do.
There is no need of welding the stem, just to cut a thread for the locking nut.
