Control and fuse box fixings
As per the title, is there anything special securing the control and fuse boxes in location? I have seen or heard of possibly a plastic captive but?
TIA

Check out the inner wing, by the bulkhead and also in front of where the flasher relay is fixed. There should be "holes." I did consider nylon fixings but used nuts and bolts to fix mine between diagonal strut and bulkhead. The main problem is the heater hose.

Re: Control and fuse box fixings
Thanks Cliff
I have got the fuse box in and the heater hose (what a bugger that was!)
If there is no special plastic captive nut I will secure the control box with nuts and bolts. (Yes the 2no square holes seem to line up well)

Re: Control and fuse box fixings
These little square plastic fixing thinggies in various sizes are also available from BRESCO.com. Always good to keep handy too. Here's a tip for anyone rebuilding the front end of his/her mini. I used these plastic thinggies for EVERY application where a screwed self tapper went into the bodywork. The grille, grille parts, indicators etc etc. File the priginal holes square to suit the size plastic thinggy I was using before paint and that's it. No metal to metal contact ever again. Also did the same refitting the wheel spats on my Mini City
