Re: bloody a plus rockers hitting early rocker cover
didn't someone mention this recently, and one answer put forward was a second rocker cover gasket to increase clearance?

Re: bloody a plus rockers hitting early rocker cover
Had similar problems with my cars in the past and one solution (not successful on every car mind..) was to put the rocker box on loose and when tightening up push it as far back as you are able towards the carbs. This might work. If not superglue 2 gaskets on to the cover. Not ideal but better than clattery rockers. A tin rocker has no real leeway to machine anything out.

Re: bloody a plus rockers hitting early rocker cover
I thought A+ rocker covers were essentially the same shape? It must be something other than the cover causing the problem.

There's no way you can fit 1275 pushrods in a small bore unless it's got a massive stack of shims under the rockers posts.InimiaD wrote:1275 pushrods maybe.
All I can think of is that the nut on the rocker is bigger on the sintered version.
