Andy, that looks like an Austin Mini Super Deluxe. Only the Super shared the early Cooper trim. In fact the Deluxe trim in my opinion was more up-market than the Super & Cooper. :D :D :D

In fact, I never liked brocade interiors and still don’t, to much nineteen fifties for me, like the Wolseley 1500 and Morris Minors :D :D

Sloppy work all round - Have also failed to weld up the Morris badge holes on the bonnet when it was modified to take the Austin badge...

I love to hear how they explain those away to any buyer   ........inevitably, raises some big questions about the rest of the car.

One to steer clear of in my view or factor in some bills to put stuff right......£5k maybe ?

Indeed. No hinged rear number plate holder, battery earth cable mounted to subframe bolt, cheap modern day alloys. Nice car for max 1/2 the current price?

Stainless rear quarter lights in an April ‘67 build? That’s an odd mistake, thought they were only on mega late Mk1.

Mine and Trevor's (mk1miniman) Mk1 S are both April ‘67 Morris, with the clip hinge rear quarters, not chrome piano hinges. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=21880

As Iain says both our cars share very close build dates. Mine is April 26th 1967. Totally original car purchased from direct from its original owner of 47 years.

That’s $89,902 AU!
That will buy me an Alfa Romeo 4C, BMW M2 Competition F87, 1991 Honda NSX, 2017 Jaguar F-TYPE, Maserati GranTurismo S MC Sportline, Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, Porsche Cayman 981, Sunbeam Tiger Sports, Toyota Supra GR GTS etc etc.

I’m all for it though, anything that pushes up the value is OK by me :D

When I started work, we spent a lot of time converting Mini vans into estates to make a few extra quid.
Now, they're converting estates into vans.......
Funny old world isn't it
