That’s completely out of order and should be made illegal.
It’s clearly for a mk2

I understood it was meant to be a joke.
It could be a Mk1 though, despite being '68, it is after all very early '68 - I have a Mk1 SDL registered 31/12/67

Re: WTH??!?! Have you seen this item on ebay.
There were quite a few Mk1s registered in 1968. I had one which was registered late enough (after August) to get a "G" suffix.
The remaining unregistered Mk1s sat around unloved once the Mk2 was introduced.

The previous owner had (has?) the only grey one aswell, which I owned for a while only on 20k Miles but boy was it starting to rot! Found it abit claustrophobic, those later cars weren’t exactly roomy, and always thought the performance abit flat. Well spec’d and rare thing though.mab01uk wrote: ↑Wed Sep 30, 2020 9:50 am Classic Mini Cooper Grand Prix No 1 of 35 ** Owned By John Cooper **

Me too - RYA602F, a maroon B Austin bought for £75 in 1982.

An old dear in the village had MYB800G on an OEW Mk1 Mini Minor automatic.

Yep, I had one, Morris Mini SDL, built Sept '67, reg'd Sept '68. The MK2 came out and this one sat around for a year 'cos nobody wanted it as it was out of date, finally bought by my great aunt because she got cheaper it than a new MK2 and she wasn't really bothered if it was MK1 or MK2 she got, it was just a new car to her and it cost less.Old English White wrote: ↑Sat Oct 03, 2020 2:34 pm There were quite a few Mk1s registered in 1968.
