Hi.
I'm restoring a 1962 997cc Cooper. The car came with a set of MG (I think) carbs which I am using and the spacers seem to be far to thick (about 15-20mm approx) My friend with a 1275cc Cooper S reckons his are only about 6mm think.
Does anyone know the correct thickness they should be on a 62 997 Cooper?
Any help welcome.
Thanks!
Steve

Re: Twin 1inch 1/4 carb spacers
thanks littler. I have a correct 997 inlet manifold now which has shown up the spacer problem.
Would the spacers be the same on all mini 1 1/4 inch SU carbs ?

Re: Twin 1inch 1/4 carb spacers
As you have a 62 car the spacers ought to be aluminium, those should be the 1/4 inch thick ones.
