Re: Remax coils
Assuming that it is still the same company. Remax have been going for years. I certainly didn't know that they still were. I think I'll give one of their coils a try. British made & not a bad price.

Re: Remax coils
I have been running one on one of my cars since shortly after my comment above. It's still working.

Re: Remax coils
UPDATE!
I have had 2 of these Remax coils fail within a couple of hundred miles of being fitted. Customer service also non existent.
HIGHLY UNRECCOMMENDED!

Times, they are a-changin'. Don't underestimate chinese products in general, they have learned their lessons and they do make very good quality products nowadays.Andrew1967 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2024 10:35 am Another case of (probably) shite Chinese products being sold using an old quality brand name .. just like Lucas
Depends what you order! You get what you pay for.
Yes I am a nerd: I am researching the Austrian Mini-racing scene of the 60s and 70s

Re: Remax coils
I’m not sure that applies to cheap classic Mini (or any other classic car Lucas or other old trusted brands) parts at the moment but a lot of other stuff is good for sure (just as well as that’s where most stuff comes from today).MiNiKiN wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2024 12:37 pmTimes, they are a-changin'. Re: Remax coils
Small Update!
Since I posted a stinking review on Trustpilot about the issues I have had with Remax coils, Green Spark Plug Co. have been all over me like a rash. They do seem genuinely interested to get to the bottom of the failures, but sadly only after I left them a 1 start review.
I'll report back with any progress.

I had an idea it wouldnt take long for something to happen, i would have been stupid of them not to react to your post and your position in the mini world!
