Assuming that it is still the same company. Remax have been going for years. I certainly didn't know that they still were. I think I'll give one of their coils a try. British made & not a bad price.

I have been running one on one of my cars since shortly after my comment above. It's still working.

UPDATE!

I have had 2 of these Remax coils fail within a couple of hundred miles of being fitted. Customer service also non existent.

HIGHLY UNRECCOMMENDED!

Another case of (probably) shite Chinese products being sold using an old quality brand name .. just like Lucas

Times, they are a-changin'. Don't underestimate chinese products in general, they have learned their lessons and they do make very good quality products nowadays.
Depends what you order! You get what you pay for.
Yes I am a nerd: I am researching the Austrian Mini-racing scene of the 60s and 70s :ugeek:

I’m not sure that applies to cheap classic Mini (or any other classic car Lucas or other old trusted brands) parts at the moment but a lot of other stuff is good for sure (just as well as that’s where most stuff comes from today).

Small Update!

Since I posted a stinking review on Trustpilot about the issues I have had with Remax coils, Green Spark Plug Co. have been all over me like a rash. They do seem genuinely interested to get to the bottom of the failures, but sadly only after I left them a 1 start review.

I'll report back with any progress.

I had an idea it wouldnt take long for something to happen, i would have been stupid of them not to react to your post and your position in the mini world! 8-)

Good news, pity it took them so long to respond though.
