i gather 707 stuff is quite rare

ive been painting a flywheel housing ive had for a while and i have knoticed it has 707 stamped in it up on the breather boss, im quite suprised i didnt knotice it when blasting it but hey. its been drilled and looks pretty nice.

could it be a works one? i dont think it is a mag one as its a 22G1921 and its not mowog its DIEKAST.. i just assumed its a metro one, i doubt its owt special but it made me wonder :)

any info?

707 was the part number prefix used by the Experimental Engine Dept in Coventry. These were usually cast in not stamped in. Maybe someone in th past received a set of stamps for christmas :lol:
