Original post says minis you own    .not owned
Yes, I purchased MadMatt's Mini Marcos as a rolling shell back in December 2012. A 2-year restoration followed and now it's back on the road with occasional forays onto the track as well. If you're interested, you can follow the rebuild on this website: http://www.mm7056.wordpress.com

I've also owned several Mini Mokes (including a light-weight, Cooper S - engined racer  ) a van and numerous Mini sedans over the years. My first car was this 1971 Cooper S which I purchased in 1973 and still own. It was rebodied into a '64 Cooper shell almost 20 years ago to become a Group Nb historic racer, but it's still registered for road use.

... and if you'll allow a slight indulgence - whilst keeping within the BMC family, there's a Bugeye Sprite sharing garage space with the Mini-brigade as well :D

Some I've collected for my retirement years. So far these all have numbers matching lumps. I'm currently working on the Moke. Located in Canada, eh.

gpmini wrote:Finally I have managed to get a website up of our cars. It is still a work in progress and I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions for improvements. The idea is to build up the cars history over time on the site (rather than have it stuck in a crate somewhere in storage, as is currently the case). For now it is mostly pics of the cars. BE WARNED the site is picture intensive (some high res) so can be slow depending on your internet connection. And yes, they are mostly projects...

I am so offended, not a single comment on my recently launched website that I spent so many hours on :D

For those interested there are also a few pics from Blyton and Beaulieu under News and Events. Thanks to Trevor who has just sent me a pic to add, of me getting ready for a thrilling ride around Blyton.

For those who don't follow my fb posts, here are a few pics taken recently when I was back home. Cars needed a wash, strangely I don't have many pics of them together so I grabbed a few with my phone.

Regards, Leon

Thanks Steve

We weren't really spoilt for choice when it came to colours in South Africa, most of our S's were green.

Cheers Leon.

My very long term project 1071 S is almond / oew. Slowly coming together and wanted it ready for Blyton this year but just got the engine back from the builder in the same state I gave it to him over 2 years ago!

One day it will resemble yours, complete with rose petals too.

Family and work mean I get very little spare time. Managed to strip the motor last night and it's off to the machine shop this week for inspection and whatever it needs. Just need to convince someone to put it back together!

Thank you!
My collection is not as near "concourse" as most others here. I'm so far in the boonies it's rare to come across these cars.
The van is indeed an early one. One of the first exported I imagine.
No provisions for seat belts, smooth sills, "paper mache" type speedo pod etc.
