Seat Frame Question

Post by Spitz »

Can anyone explain these semi circular cut-outs on the front corner of seat frames from a 67?
My MkIII and MkIV frames do not have these but identical in every other way.

This is what I was thinking. I assume they made all the seats the same as both my L and R seats have this.
I posed the question in several places and this is the only response so far....mmmm

Perhaps this is a not very often noticed thing
