im having a mind fart.
im fitting a 2 degree offset key to the camshaft as i have 112 degrees and need 110. do i fit it with the offset to turn the cam anticlockwise or clockwise.

I screw this up all the time may have something to do with birthdays. I even drew a picture on my work bench and got that wrong. That's the reason I recheck after installing the key. Off the top of my head without the aid of my corrected picture at work you was to advance the cam so install to rotate the cam clockwise. If using a timing chain consider installing a 3 or 4 degree key as chain stretch will retard it in short order. Steve (CTR)

If you are referring to - have inlet: opening 112 after and need: opening 110 after, then you need to advance the cam.
