Early steel wheels

Ive got a pair of the LP888 wheels, and also managed to pick up a pair of riveted wheels the other day for a bargain price of 99p. :D I was hoping they would be the LP888's! Which ones are easier to get hold of these days. And how safe are the riveted wheels...bearing in mind most sets you find these days are a little corroded and 50 years old? Also I can't seem to find an offset value for the riveted type, anyone know what it is?
