The Cox GTM I've just bought came with the linkage for a magic wand type box, I'd like to keep it as original as possible but only have experience with rod and remote type boxes. The plan it to fit a tuned 1100 for the road and the odd track day. Will the longer stroke crank clear the casing, or was this just with 1430+ jobs? Do they take a specific type of transfer casing? Is there anything I need to look out for?
The Frogeye doesn't have syncro on 1st so I'm used to that and quite enjoy it, but if it looks like I'm gunna be busting gearboxes every weekend I'll go for a rod box.

The crank should clear the box. There were 1100s on 3 synchro boxes from the factory, not Mini.

It's the rods that hit. So the oblique cut 1100 rods clear and the straight cut 1275 rods hit.
