Camshaft identity

I have a camshaft here that's been with me for years. I got with a load of mini parts when I was 17,I only wanted the twin carbs but the bloke said it was all or nothing. It did come in a genuine British Leyland tube but since then the mice put it to better use. I then sprayed it with some special wax meant for injection moulding preservation and it is as new. It's marked up as 6K74 on the end and that's it its a slot drive cam but as to what it was meant for I don't know. Perhaps some one has a clue as to what it is?
