Hi, my friend has a set of early 7" disc assemblies on his mini which he thinks came from an early 1275gt. I have driven the car and the brakes are awful! Is is a case of new calipers and discs from minispares as I am not sure if they will fit on the same hubs? Any advice?

Early GT's had the same brakes as a cooper S, which would be the 7.5 inch variety.

It's been a while since I drove my mini. If you are used to a modern car, they take a bit of using!

I think it's probably driver perception.

Not entirely sure if they are early gt then as they are definitely 7" but i am going on information which came with the car.
I have 7.5" s set up on my mini and they are good.
What I need to know is if the 7.5 calipers and discs and will fit? Lets assume that they are early cooper then?

Cheers Steve

The only part in common between the 7" and 7.5" Disc set up is the hub, everything else is different.
