Door handle key barrel query

Hi,

I have the original key barrel in the ignition and the boot lock, unfortunately the car came without doors so I never had the matching door key barrel.

I have fitted a NOS mk2 door handle with a different key number but having two different keys is not my ideal.

I have tried getting a set of repro barrels but the boot handle one is different and sticks out.

I was thinking an ordinary locksmith may be able to convert my door barrel to fit my "original key" but before I go down that route I thought I would ask for any other suggestions.

The barrel i need is a FS882 incase anyone had one

I had to go for the barrel conversion route. As long at the barrel is out of the lock/handle then I think it is quite easy for them to do.

I have done this myself & although it is a bit fiddly it is not difficult.
