The Bond Minicar - 1958

This advert is dated 1958.......there were also earlier versions of the Bond Minicar dating back to 1949, interesting to think Bond were so close to using the name 'Mini' for a small car long before BMC.........?
There was also a 'Minivan' version introduced in 1952.

I followed a Bond Minicar into a show in Suffolk a couple of months back.

What caught my eye more than anything was the not too dissimilar registration numbers. The Bond was registered in 1964 in Kent a couple of months after my Mini.

That add is so funny. Check out the expression of the woman. She seems to be thinking, "I've got to get a new agent."

I was thinking the same thing, neither of them looks that happy to be sat in the car!
