The Bond Minicar - 1958

Post by mab01uk »

This advert is dated 1958.......there were also earlier versions of the Bond Minicar dating back to 1949, interesting to think Bond were so close to using the name 'Mini' for a small car long before BMC.........?
There was also a 'Minivan' version introduced in 1952.

I followed a Bond Minicar into a show in Suffolk a couple of months back.

What caught my eye more than anything was the not too dissimilar registration numbers. The Bond was registered in 1964 in Kent a couple of months after my Mini.

That add is so funny. Check out the expression of the woman. She seems to be thinking, "I've got to get a new agent."
