hello, my two window screen air vents are fastened in place by flat top , phillps type self tapping screws, they are obviously not correct for the job, can anyone advise me of what should be in place. simple question I know, but I dont know

Self-tappers were correct for some models without the vinyl trim, and there were two different length 10/32" c/sunk screws also available.

As Bob says some models has dome headed countersunk self tappers, some had dome headed countersunk chrome plated set screws.
Head should look like Type "F" below.

thanks for that, mine at the moment are type E flat heads, dont look right at all
