hey, im finishing off my brake lines and i was wondering... is this right:

thats as far as it screws in... is that right or should it sit right down and have a copper washer...

Cant remember how much they go in? but a "fair bit" atleast (3-4mm app) -
and they DO seal in the thread(no cobber washer)

they tighten up, the further you go in.

If it dont feel right, you might have one from a Rover P6, they go all the way in, with a cobber washer,
so they have a different thread, which dont fit a Mini.

You need the banjo fitting of course and it should be copper washer both sides .... clear?

yes i have the banjo,

it goes: flexi from caliper up into subframe, copper washer, banjo with brake pipes, copper washer, union part that screws into flexi, then brake switch....

ok, yes its gone in and tightened up, i couldnt remember if it went in all the way and had a washer!

It is a taper thread and so seals on the thread.
I added a few turns of PTFE tape just to help it seal.
