Head is as per a Downton head but with a larger font stamp. I am not aware of any block markings.

Cheers Mark. Now the question is what markings did Downton use? Us mere mortals think of this as stuff of urban myth....

Looking at cylinder head as if it's in the car.

In the top left hand corner is the amount skimmed in thou & the chamber vol in CC's

Stamped vertically at the heater tap end is the job number.

That it.

I've got a head I think is a Longman head. Is there anyone who can verify specs for these?

Well, I was more curious to find the spec on my head. If it was a MED or Swiftune head, I would know who to call. Longman, no.

On a sidenote. What was the reason for Longman not being the top Mini racing parts supplier anymore. What happened?
