Twin Tank Vent Pipe Tags
Can anyone send me a picture of the vent pipe tags under the rear parcel shelf ?
I replaced the panels ages ago (rust and holes for steros etc) and stupidly didnt take any notes/photos.
I want to have things looking original.
Any help gratefully received.

It is an early 67 mk1 shell.
Pretty sure that it had them - although I could be confusing it with other cars I've had.
I always thought that they were introduced in 66 when twin tanks became standard not deleted.

I've just been thumbing through the bible.
I'm even more confused now !
Aren't the June 66 clips referred to by Parnell superseded by the tags welded on to the parcel shelf ?
But looking at the pic Masnarda posted, there are no tags on the seat back for the RH tank for the vent pipes which I thought there would be.

Yes,that's how I understand it.

Yes,they should be there(that looks like a late Mk2 'S' in the photo). Unable to tell for sure but looks like they're been taken off for some reason.

It is indeed a MK2 shell, you can tell by the size of the hole in the back of the seat. Besides, the pic is from an ebay add and the seller has it listed as a MK2 shell.

It looks like that is a mistake in parnells book!
body No. ' 55735 (jun 66 clip securing fuel vent pipe to the parcel shelf deleted '
Looks like another mistake is on the bottom of page 30 ( looks like more of a printing error that was over looked )
' As described in the text, the type SN4479 speedometer replaced the type SN4417 in September 1964 from body numbers 30891 (Cooper) and 31223 (Cooper S) '
You can't knock the book it is a fantastic bit of work. Hats off!
