Hi
Just re installing the re manufactured wiring harness to the mk1 cooper S. I can see from the wiring diagram that the motor must have been changed for a later type. The one I have has the square body and 2 spade terminals. One marked and the other two plus a earth terminal on the body of the unit that has a wire earthing to the chassis.
My wiring harness has 3 wires available at the motor end
Black/green stripe
Red/green stripe
Green
obviously 3 into 2 doesn't go?
Also at my switch I have only a Black/green connected and a green to the other side of the switch.
I need to know what color to terminal 1 and terminal 2 please
Hope someone can help
Regards
Brad

Hi,
Perhaps you can figure out by these diagrams to sort things out.

Its also handy for tacho’s and alternators etc. it goes from simple to complicated.
