Nicely worked 12G202 head with 31/26.4mm valves. Painted a distinctive blue colour - does anyone have any ideas on the company who did the work?

The valves fitted are just a size up from the originals 27 mm and 25.4 mm, the 12g202 head I have is blue as well. I believe the heads fitted to the later 1098s were quite frequently painted this colour.

You'll find the same blue primer on many blocks and heads applied at the factory.

Thanks. Just to say there is precious little flat space around the thermostat housing for any stamp marks. I had not seen that blue colour before.

Some people stamped them at the other end behind the heater tap.
