Camshaft shopping for a 1071

I thought I could ask a favor. I'm looking for a good mild street cam for my resto.
HS2 and stock header and muffler. I might try an LCB if anyone thinks it would be a good idea.
Smooth idle I would enjoy and low torque as I would like to have a 2.95 final drive or is this to tall for a 1071?
Thanks for anyone's input.
Scott

Cam wise , one answer Swiftune SW5-07

Diff 3.2 is probably the tallest i'd go far, depends what sort of roads are local to you.

Thanks Smoke Gray
We have a wide variety of roads around here. I really was considering a MG Metro Vanden Plas cam but it's getting hard to find. I'll take a look at swiftunes sw. Thanks again

You sound like you are after a 1275 engine really. Put a 286 in the 1071 and run it through a 3.7.

Kent cams 500 is the MG metro cam, if you want a new one.

Smiffy I believe this to be true
I'm having a difficult time finding a Kent 500.
Maybe some luck will come soon.

Twin HS2s mean it's top end strangled, so the 997 Cooper cam or equivalent is just fine. a 3.44 is no problem, afterall I used to tow with mine with a 3.44 diff.
