Gearbox with own oil cooler ?

Anyone seen a manual gearbox with own dedicated oil cooler?

Never a mini but there a few jap performance things with diff oil coolers, eg Nissan 200 Silvia

my eight port motor had a secondary oil filter that picked up out the box, thru the filter and back into the block (there was a bung between the box and the block to stop the oil flow) - the oil was still dragged around the filters by the engines pump.


i cannot see the reason for running a cooler like this, there is no advantage over running it through the normal way
