Just an interesting item for you all to look at with some well known names connected to the Mini world.

This photo is headed:-

The Mk VII at its launch. Works drivers, Stuart Lewis-Evans and Les Leston with Charlie and John Cooper appear to be interested in some cockpit detail. Note the enclosed bodywork above the engine which was quickly removed to improve cooling and access.

Hope its of interest, the cross over for me is that to be competative you had to run OHC Norton engines, an earlier version of which powers my 1936 Norton International.

I'm with you on that Pete,spent a bit of time at Goodwood last year looking over a couple
in the paddock and its an engine I could listen to happily
