For Sale Section Rules

PLEASE NOTE! Postings in this section are deleted automatically after they have not been looked at for 30 days.

1) This section is for advertising items that you have for sale. Not for the discussion of listed items. If you wish to debate the pro's & Con's of any item listed, please start a new topic in the appropriate section.

2) Please DO NOT post links to your ebay auctions. This section is NOT for the advertisement of your ebay auctions.

3) If you have a number of items to sell, post them in a single ad marked "Multiple Parts" or similar. DO NOT post many individual advertisements as this forces everyone else's listings down the page.

4) It is expected that any items advertised on the forum are described fairly & honestly. It is the duty of the seller to ensure that this is the case.

5) Items listed for sale should WHEREVER POSSIBLE* be offered with a purchase price, not asking for bids from members. If you wish to auction your item to the highest bidder I would suggest you use ebay & pay the associated fees.

6) This section is offered as a free service to enthusiasts. Any deals made are between the buyer & seller only. The MK1 forum takes no part in any transaction & the appearance of any item in this section is not a recommendation. I strongly suggest that both buyers & sellers are happy to proceed with a deal before any money or goods change hands.

7) It expected that people posting items for sale are "Active Members of this community". Any Adverts placed by members with a post count lower than 5 will be deleted.

8) The advertising of or soliciting for VIN tags, log books or any other vehicle identification documentation without it's associated vehicle is expressly forbidden. Any member breaking this rule will have his membership terminated with immediate effect.

9) If a moderator considers any postings in this section to violate either the spirit or word of these simple requests the MK1 Forum reserves the right to delete any posts without prior warning or explanation.

10) The posting of items for sale on the MK1 forum constitutes explicit acceptance of these simple rules.

11) Members posting items for sale MUST include a rough location in their profile.

It would be much appreciated if sellers could leave the sale price on adverts after the item has been sold. This acts as a good measure of current value for other sellers.

* In some cases it may not be possible for the seller to list items with a sale price. In this case, listings will be reviewed on a case by case basis by a moderator. The moderators decision will be final.

Mk1 Cooper S rally / race car

Post by Brynmor »

Have put my S up for sale full details on the link below. If you’re after a rally Mini it’s probably the ultimate specification outside of an 8 port. £29,995 which I feel is pretty fair for the specification and considerably less than it would cost to build. :)

I can’t fathom how to load pictures onto here, however it’s listed on eBay if you want to see lots of pictures.

If you’re looking for the ultimate rally Mini this is it, would be great for this years Roger Albert Clark or indeed any HERO/ HRCR events.
A well known car it has been one of the pair of ‘Minispares’ branded Mk1’s over the last few years. Built and run by Ray Cunningham (Galway Mini Centre), it’s seen success across the board from rallies to hillclimbs and even circuit races.
A genuine 1964 1071 ‘s’ delivered into Dublin as new in CKD form, we have the buff logbook with a continuous history from new to the present day. It was rebuilt around 1995 by renowned Mini man Mervyn Johnston (pictures with white roof from then). An older restoration so please don’t pick holes as it’s never been built as a show car, it’s built for a purpose to the category regulations.
Presented today ready to go and compete (certain changes needed depending on discipline) it offers huge thrills without the big bills of modern cars.
1293 cc , 120bhp all steel motor, on split 45 Weber’s
SC/CR gear kit , SC drop gears , 4:1 LSD , hardy spicer with MED comp shafts
Fully strengthened shell with safety device 6 point with additional mounts and harness bar. Drivers side recently painted, some small blemishes on passenger side. Full Scottish spec alloy sumpguard.
Work’s style dash and interior with brand new Basic Roamer trip meters. Genuine (not repro) Mk1 Cooper red/gold brocade rear seat.
Lifeline 360 electric plumbed in system (needs renewing for stage rallies). Brand new PD extinguishers hand held
Brand new Varley red top race battery
Brand new 2025 atech seats and brand new 2025 atech belts.
Twin fuel tanks and twin facet pumps and regular.
Suede steering wheel.
Strengthened frames front and back with spax adjustable dampers , hi Lows and heavy duty tie bars .
Negative camber bottom arms
Polly carb all round with heated front screen.
Cooper S brakes all round with alloy rear mini fins .
Rose petal alloys on brand new yokohama a008 tyres
Full 1964 Cooper S log book
Full MSI /MSA HRVIF paperwork (MSUK have reciprocal agreement with Motorsport Ireland for logbooks so cars can be used here/there)
And motor sport blue rally log book
Current UK MOT certificate
At present still on an Irish registration, however i do have a full NOVA certificate should you wish to re-register it.
Offered at a fraction of the cost to build to this specification and certainly with a continuous history and S pedigree.

Well when I opened the link the description was very small white text on a totally black background.
Now it's fine.
Good luck with the sale.
It's a really nice car at an amazing price.
