Number plate brackets

When did the front panel number plate brackets change from narrow to wide?

I think that came in with the Mk3 (or was it the Mk4 in 1976..)?

'76 would make sense as at that time the front panel had changes to accomodate the rubber subframe mounts..

My round tunnel 72 mini 1000 still has its original front panel and it has wide number plate brackets.
