I have a rattle coming from my heater, it is the direction flap lever vibrating against the front plate.
Anyone else had this?
How did you resolve the issue?
I am considering a bit of heat shrink on the lever.

What sort of heater? Old metal or 68 on plastic type? Old metal one, the standard trick was to OPEN the flap, lever upwards and bend it to give it a bit more friction as I seem to remember

I think that this should be in the technical section

On ours I dismantled it and the foam 'buffer' had simply disintegrated. I used some window draft sealing foam tape and it did the trick for us ;-)

Did a similar type of thing
Used those sticking felt pads that stop your furniture marking the floor :)

It is the old metal heater 1965, it is not the flap that is vibrating, it is the lever that rattles in the slot.

Then do as I suggest. Open the flap, lever at its most extended and slightly bend it. The extra friction will stop it rattling. It's called 'the K.I.S.S. method
