Lucas D25 code?

Hi. Have a 25d distributor in my 1275gt it runs OK there's a code stamped on it 41257E. looked on different reference sights can't see that code closes I can see isn't from a bmc mini. Any ideas ?

I have it as follows;-

(Dist RPM and Deg)
Below 150 RPM No Advance
400 RPM 0.75 deg
1400 RPM 6.5 Deg
2500 RPM 10 Deg

Vac starts at 3" and finishes at 10" and give 10 Deg

Although it may be interesting to find out the original advance timing of a distributor, at probably 50 years old it is unlikely to give the same curve now that it would have originally.. Also unless your engine is to the original specification AND you are using the same spec fuel as original, the timing is very unlikely to be near optimum. Yes keep the original body if that is required, but it would better in my view to get it completely refurbished with a curve suitable for current fuel and the spec of the engine.

That list should only be used as a suggestion as to what a distributor may be and only if NO other data is available. It's full of errors, they can't even get the rotation direction correct.
