I had a very quick look on the three wiring products suppliers listed below but did not notice anything the same...

Just a thought. As you are using a radio as a background I wonder if one of the old car radio modifiers (adding Bluetooth etc) might be able to help.
If it is not and just a cable connector there are plenty of 2 wire male & female plastic connectors available for auto electric suppliers.

I've never seen one but it seems to be a complicated version of the simple double ended bullet connector, found almost everywhere on our minis. Just been using plenty of them re-wiring clever Trevors mini!

I have one with about a foot of cable attached. PM your address and I'll put it in the post.

As 111Robin shows but one pin fatter than the other to polarise the plug/socket.

The Radiomobile speaker plugs I've had have all had the same pin diameters, perhaps different types on other radios. The one I have was attached to a Radiomobile.

The ones shown look very similar to the old park light accessory sockets, but the pin spacing seems a bit wider, so I suspect confusion is likely.
My Traveller has the socket on the dash. I plan to use it for my phone charger, with a bridge rectifier to ensure correct polarity.
