Clubman 1275 GT query

Post by trevorhp »

Hi Does anyone know a simple but accurate way of identifying a genuine GT body shell.
I have had a clubman in storage for a while now and it came with a V5C however all that I can see that may identify it as a genuine GT shell is part of a gold set of GT style stripes on one panel.
Thanks for any assistance.

Hi

The 1974 1275 GT I robbed for parts in the early 90's, then scrapped, had boot board brackets.

I can't imagine any difference at all, once you get beyond the period of boot boards and servos being fitted I'm sure it's all standard.
I've only got experience of very early or very late, the in-between I don't know
