Engine identity
Hi all , I have a mini block with engine number 9f-as-h22592 tag ( not sure if original) which I believe would mean it’s a 997 ? However it doesn’t have 1000 stamped on block ? Which I believed it should ? It’s a thin flange , has no stud or hole for fuel pump . I have took some photos but can’t remember how to change the size of them to upload. Any help would be great cheers Justin

Re: Engine identity
You need to measure bore and stroke to be sure.
It's not an early 997 block .
Could be a late one or and early 998 or 1098

That engine number plate looks to be pop rivetted on. Don't remember that method of fixing.
