Sun Visor side clips

[DUF2 ‘65 Elf]

‘65 Riley Elf Mk2, Can anyone give me a measurement for where these holes for the Sun visor side clips should be? I can’t feel them through the headlining fabric and don’t want to poke holes where the should not be!

On my 65/66 SDL the hole is in the steel roof edge rail and is part of the shell. Your clip looks upside down.
My headlining is the 2 piece type.

Side swing Visors? My 65 Cooper has them on the rail. Disregard the clip as it is incorrect, I’ve been searching for a replacement
And yes, it goes the other way up.

If these are hinged ones, why not just swivel them back and align accordingly? That way you know they'll work well.

Here's another version of clip I've seen on a few cars. This is our late 64 SDL which we have owned since the 70s.
