Can someone with a traveller or countryman look under the rear seat bottom, and tell me if there is any thing(wood or strip of metal) attached to the bracket that is welded to the companion boxes. See the attached image. I assume these are suppose to support the sides of the seat bottom. I do not remember taking any off and my newly upholster seat is narrower than the brackets.

That's all there is in my Traveller but I don't think they do anything. The seat is supported along the back edge.

Thanks for the reply. Here is another question. there are two pegs, what is the second(lower one) for? Maybe someone could post a picture of the seat base flipped up so I could see the attachment points.
