Great stuff Stuart. My camera decided to give up and did'nt record the race so I'm glad the Hillmanator was on hand and I got in front for a bit
Bit frantic I can tell you, especially the bit where I move across to cover him coming down the inside on the right and a quick glance to the right and there he is trimming the grass! Had car on rollers to make sure I had enough power to keep up with him. Last year I was on SU's and did 1.15's and so did he. This year I had the Weber and a full 120 bhp and still he's quicker - 1.13's. This makes Marc Earnshaw's 1.14's very respectable.
Nice to see all and to see Pete Crewes new car. He's the first of the Mighty Mini brigade that I have tempted to have a go. There are two more on the way from the South West. Nice to see Earnshawspeed out too.
Sorry to hear that Mike's car is sold and that we're unlikely to see him again. Congrats to Roger but I have to say that it has not been a good turnout for Class D this year. My original intention was to encourage as many Appendix K cars out and so perhaps that is how it might work out best. Many more Imps out than Minis is almost embarrassing especially when they woop our arses, but if we could run 12 or 13 inch wheels I guess we'd be able to move up a peg

Awwwww shucks Tim, nice of you to say sooo.... It would have been nice to dip into the high 1 13's just at the end but the chequered flag came out
Tips on standing starts gratefully accepted from anyone - first time I've had a go and I was bloody useless !!!
Well the time of year again to wrap the old girl up in cotton wool, dream of all the bits I want to put on the car but can't afford, all the races I want to enter but the misses wont let me travel too and all the weight I could do with shifting...... hmmmmmmm thats not gonna happen, must stop eating too many Pies and drinking too much Ale !!!
