Moke hood strap

Post by Charlynsane »

Hello Guys

I'm struggling fitting my moke hood

M-parts strap kit contains 2 straps instead of 1

Assuming the shorts one is for the rear hoop, you can adjust it with the buckles, I have a question about fixing on the rear panel there is originaly 1screws or 3 as pictured

My other question is regarding the longer strap, it runs from the windcreen frame, holding the 2 front hoops and is it also fixed to the rear hoops and rear panel?

Thank you for your help guys

To say my Moke Hood came from Run a Moke & those have the short rear adjusting strap at the rear held by two Countersunk Nut & Bolts each side as i thought this would be stronger than screws given the strap tension that is needed.
The Original Frames had ( Several different positioned ) location holes for strap fixing screws & i used Pop Rivets rather than screws because i needed the low profile in this area under the Inner Hood .. Yes i could be shot for deviation from standard but i was looking to make the strap setup as strong as possible .
